Answers :

1) Answer: E

Profit ratio of A, B and C = 4000 * 12:6000 * 6:4500 * 6

= 16:12:9

C’s profit share = 9/37 * 18500 = Rs.4500

2) Answer: A

Profit share of A, B and C = 4x * 12:5x * 12:(2x * 4 + (2x + 1600) * 8)

(4x * 12) /(24x + 12800) = 12/7

24x + 12800 = 28x

4x = 12800

x = 3200

A’s investment = 3200 * 4 = 12800

3) Answer: A

Initial investment of A = 4x

Initial investment of B = 4x * 125/100 = 5x

Profit ratio of A and B = (4x * 8 + (4x + 2000) * 4):(5x * 12) = 8:9

According to the question,

(32x + 16x + 8000) / (5x * 12) = (8 / 9)

(32x + 16x + 8000) * 9 = 8 * (5x * 12)

432x + 72000 = 480x

x = Rs.1500

Required Difference = Rs.1500

4) Answer: B

Ratio of the Renu and Rathika = (12000 * 4x):(8000 * 5x)

= 48:40

= 6:5

Profit share of Rathika = 5/11 * 22000 = Rs.10000

5) Answer: A

Profit share ratio of Bheem and Chukki = 3 * 10:1 * 8

= 15:4

Total profit of the business = 19/15 * 6000 = Rs.7600
