Answers :
1) Answer: D
Weight of third lightest person=x
51*5=52*2+48*2+x
255-200=x
x=55 kg
2) Answer: A
The average weight of A, B and C=44 kg
The average weight of A, B, C, D and E=44*100/110=40 kg
The weight of D and E=40*5-44*3=68 kg
3) Answer: D
A = 9x
B = 7x
C = 9x *2/3 = 6x
7x - 6x = 21
x= 21 cm
A = 9 * 21 = 189 cm
B = 7 * 21 = 147 cm
Required average=(189 + 147)/2 = 336/2 = 168 cm
4) Answer: C
D = 60 kg
B = 60-12 = 48 kg
A = 48 + 8 = 56 kg
C = 60 + 12 = 72 kg
Required average=(60 + 48 + 72)/3 = 180/3 = 60 kg
5) Answer: D
Let the weight of B=14x kg
The weight of A=14x*5/7=10x kg
The weight of C=14x*125/100=17.5x kg
14x+10x+17.5x=83*3
41.5x=249
x=6
The weight of A=10*6=60 kg
The weight of B=14*6=84 kg
Required average=(60+84)/2=72 kg
